Burning candles safely
- Safety rules must always be followed carefully when using candles. Safety pictograms and instructions for use are also provided at the bottom of the candle glass.
- When lighting and burning, the candle’s wick must be 0.5 cm long and clean of soot residues. If the candle gets soot or burns with an overly intense flame, the wick is too long or has residue from burning. Do not burn such a candle; it can be dangerous. Blow out the candle and cut the wick to size.
- Do not burn the candle for more than 3 hours in a row. Before the subsequent burning, cut the wick to a length of 0.5 cm.
- Place the burning candle on a heat-resistant base, away from flammable objects.
- Be careful when moving a burning candle – the glass may be hot.
- Keep the burning candle away from children and animals.
- Avoid drafts near the candle.
- Never leave a burning candle unattended!
